End of Season 2024/2025

Good morning families

A huge congratulations to all of our swimmers for this season, yesterday was a great way to wrap up the season and celebrate. As with all Swim Events this season we have had the weather turn nasty but in the end we still got to enjoy the afternoon and celebrate. If you were unable to make it, please reach out so we can get the medals and pressies out to all of our swimmers. 

As we announced yesterday due to our Sponsors, Precise Patios & Fencing and JB Electrical all our swimmers for the new season will be provided with a new polo. If you haven't provided sizing yet please send me through an email so we can make sure all our swimmers have a new polo for the season. 

In addition to the new polos we will have a range of swimwear available to purchase, these are to be paid for ahead of time and an order will be placed.

Yesterday we also launched our new fancy website, we are still updating the content but the majority is there. A huge thank you to Chris and Brad for your work behind the scenes to get it up and running ahead of yesterday.

6 & Under Emma O’Riely & Charlie Budgen 7 - 8 Years Amelia Nicholls & Zian Farr 9 - 10 Years Skylah Farr & Jordan Miller 11 - 12 Years Pippa Hilliard & Ben Miller 13 - 14 Years Gemma Lau & Owen Aldcroft

Encouragement Award went to Amelia Nicholls for her sheer determination to just keep swimming and doing her absolute best. Amelia wasn't overly sure when she first joined Swim Club starting out at the 12.5m and quickly pushing herself each week and finishing off the season with a 100m. You are a true inspiration Amelia, we can't wait to see what the future holds for you. 

Lastly our Sportsperson Award went to Lila Rogers, we all know Lila and we see her swimming each and every week. Lila is amazing to watch and is a strong swimmmer but the thing I love about her the most is she cheers on everyone, if you are still around late on Tuesday nights you would see Lila supporting everyone and encouraging swimmers who aren't as strong as her to just keep doing it. She walks up the side of the pool shouting words of encouragement, sometimes with her little sister in toe. Lila will even jump in the water to swim alongside someone who is doing the 100m and just needs that little bit extra encouragement to make it to the end. Lila we love having you part of our club. Congratulations on being this years Sportsperson of the Year. 

I know I had some people asking me about how many points their swimmer received, if you have any questions please reach out, happy to provide the details to you. We had some families asking about seeing the points throughout the season so will make sure we do that next season so everyone knows where they are up to. Additional awards will also be introduced to encourage beating PB's, participating at Swim Meets and some others. If you have any suggestions on what Awards you would like to see please share them as happy to put to the committee for discussion. 

* Dont forget to email through the sizing for shirts and if you wish to purchase swimwear. Orders will only be done once so we have for the start of the season unless we can meet the min order during the season. If sizing is not provided for the Free Polo your swimmer may miss out.
